Interland
provides affordable shared hosting solutions as well as virtual
private servers (VPS) with the flexibility to customize your
package to your needs. Inexpensive feature-packed Shared hosting
starts as low as $7.95 per month with 200MB of diskspace and
5GB of data transfer per month which should be more than enough
headroom for any perosnal website. Also included is a dedicated
IP address for your website and an Internet domain name (yourname.com/net/org)
so you can launch your site within a couple days. However,
with a standard account you do not recieve the marketing credits
we talked about under Unique Hosting Options.
Virtual
Private Servers using the FreeBSD operating system start at
$49.95 per month for a standard package offering 1GB of diskspace
and and dedicated IP address. I find this pretty expensive
for a VPS because many hosts these days are offering much
more powerful DEDICATED servers with the ability to perform
many more tasks for approximately the same price. Anyone considering
paying this much for a vps should seriously consider making
an investment on a dedicated server or at least consider the
pros and cons of this first. With VPS' from Interland you
also recieve a $75 Overture advertising credit.

The
best methods of support that Interland offers is phone support
(1.877.467.8464) and email support. These seem to be the most
responsive support options I found. Support for clients is
available through a FAQ section which answers a few support
questions and pre-sales questions. People requiring more information
on Interland's services should use this feature. Live chat
is also available for those who need immediate support and
for current clients of interland there is a support center
providing user guides and quick access to informative documents.
Money back Guarantee
Although
many places offer money back guarantees on their services,
Interland does not offer this, nor do they offer any kind
of uptime guarantee. Being in buisness since 1995 I wouldn't
exactly consider this a major problem, since are probably
still a very reliable host, although it is nice to have the
added assurance. Hopefully we will see this in the future.

easy. I was able to easily navigate all areas of the website
and quickly found what I was looking for. I was particularly
interested by the articles they offer on their website which
assists with search engine optimization, online sales, creating
an ideal website, and online marketing. These articles will
help even novice users create a website that will succeed.
Conclusion
Interland
appears to be a excellent web hosting solution for clients
who are seeking shared hosting. The inexpensive prices on
packages combined with the $150 Google AdSense and Overture
credit which is included with these accounts is definately
a win-win situation. Since they also provide a free domain
name, you should be able to get your site online and get some
basic marketing done within no time. I am not particularly
a fan of the VPS packages and I consider them expensive. A
reseller account or dedicated server would definately be a
